Portland police are investigating reports of a shooting Monday afternoon that left bullet holes in two residences near 160th Avenue and East Burnside Street.

Neighbors reported hearing several gunshots and seeing two men, one holding a handgun, run from the area about 4:35 p.m.

East Precinct officers found damage to at least two units at the Tree Crest Apartments at 16047 East Burnside Street.

No gunshot victims were located at the scene or have arrived at area hospitals, police said.

The man armed with a handgun was stocky with cornrowed hair and wearing a white shirt and black shorts, police said. The second man was about 6-foot-5 with dread-locked hair and wearing a blue shirt.

Anyone who witnessed the shooting or has information can call the police non-emergency line at 503-823-3333.

The bureau’s Tactical Operations Division is continuing to investigate several incidents of gun violence citywide, police said.
