At the stroke of midnight, it will officially be legal to have and smoke marijuana recreationally in Oregon.

A few activist organizations, including Portland NORML, are commemorating the event by giving away marijuana seeds and usable pot on the Burnside Bridge, starting about 11:30 p.m.

The organizations plan to meet on the west side of the bridge and will only give seeds and pot to people over 21 with identification.

I’ll be live-tweeting the goings-on at the bridge from The Oregonian’s twitter account, which you can follow here.
