Illegal marijuana dispensary in Casa de Oro shut down after 2 hurt in shooting – The San Diego Union-Tribune
Sheriff’s deputies shut down an illegal marijuana dispensary in the Casa de Oro area of Spring Valley early Thursday about eight hours after two men were shot outside the shop.
The shooting was reported just after 8:30 p.m. on Dolores Street near South Barcelona Street, near the Albertsons shopping center.
Deputies found a 22-year-old shooting victim and medics transported him to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Nearby they found a firearm and evidence of a shooting outside the dispensary, said sheriff’s Sgt. Karen Bloch.
About a half hour later, deputies learned an additional victim related to the incident had been taken to a Spring Valley residence. That victim — also a 22-year-old man — was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Bloch said.
Around 5 a.m., a contingent of sheriff’s personnel, including narcotics detectives and SWAT officers, served a search warrant at the unlicensed facility and found four people inside. Detectives seized marijuana, marijuana products, an undisclosed amount of cash and an additional firearm, Block said.
The investigation into the shooting and the dispensary is ongoing. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call sheriff’s detectives at (619) 660-7087 or San Diego County
