The Walnut Township Trustees met in regular session Nov. 2. The trustees voted to enter into executive session to discuss pending litigation with an attorney.

Chris Welsh presented information requesting zoning for a medical marijuana dispensary in the township. 

Walnut Township Fire Chief Bob Price reported on run totals for the month of October and for the year to date, personnel issues, signage, equipment, grants and a request to raise the spending limit to $5,000 was approved.  Zoning Inspector Mike Berry reported on the number of permits issued, phone calls and letters.  A fee schedule addition was made for zoning permit fees for a commercial addition at $400 plus $.25 per square foot over 1,000 feet. Property Maintenance Inspector Rick Singer reported on properties in process and those resolved. Parks Supervisor Nate Wagner reported that the Porta-Johns had been pulled from the parks. As Roads Supervisor Nate Wagner reported on mowing, berms, striping, the Geiger Road Project and grant money through ARP.
