Portland police officers are looking for someone who fired a gun in North Portland’s St. John’s neighborhood Thursday evening, wounding a man in his 20s.

Officers responded around 8:50 p.m. near North Swenson Street and Iris Way and found evidence of gunfire and blood, according to a news release from the Portland Police Bureau. No victims were found at the scene, but an injured man arrived at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center about 10 minutes later with a non-life-threatening wound.

Police have not released any description of the suspected shooter. Anyone with more information about this shooting is asked to call the police non-emergency line at 503-823-3333. 

Police also ask anyone with information on any other gun-related crimes to contact the Portland Police Bureau’s tactical operations division at 503-823-4106 or gangs@portlandoregon.gov. Tips about gun crimes can also be emailed to guntaskforce@portlandoregon.gov.
