Olde World Remedies Dispensary Donates $50,000 To Lynn For New Public Park | WBZ NewsRadio 1030 – KFI AM 640
LYNN, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) – A local cannabis dispensary has donated money the city of Lynn for a major renovation at a local playground.
At Tuesday night’s City Council meeting, the council accepted a $50,000 gift from Olde World Remedies, a recreational and medical marijuana dispensary in Lynn. The company’s donation will be used to renovate a playground in Ward 6.
“This will be a very good addition to the Marian’s Gardens Park,” said Councilor Frederick Hogan who represents the ward. Hogan said the money will go toward putting in new playground equipment.
“The $50,000 will go straight to a playground which will be pretty amazing since we have [already] put one at our Bennett Street Park and we have put one at our Warren Street Park.”
In total, Lynn has eight dispensary licenses approved and five marijuana dispensary businesses are currently operating.
