Oregon will not be wearing green in the national championship game – USA TODAY

When it comes to uniforms, the most innovative team in college football is Oregon. And when the Ducks play Ohio State in the national championship game next week, their look will not disappoint.

Nothing about Oregon’s attire features team colors, except for maybe the Nike swoosh on the socks. And the only piece of gear that’s been used before is the white helmet. The jerseys are new, and although the Ducks have worn grey pants before, they haven’t worn this specific pair that says “Fighting Ducks” on the leg.

According to Oregon spokesman Andy McNamara, Oregon was given first choice on uniforms and chose white-white-grey because it never doubles up combinations in the same season, and this combo hasn’t been used yet.

“It’s Oregon’s tradition to be untraditional when it comes to our athletic programs,”McNamara told USA TODAY Sports. “We have a great relationship with Nike and the combined creativity with them allows us to do great things.”

The uniform is sleek and clean, and fans will most likely approve.

The Buckeyes on the other hand are keeping with a more traditional look.

Both uniforms are pretty awesome though.
