A pedestrian was stuck and critically injured Friday night on Northeast Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in what Portland police said was a hit-and-run crash.

Police didn’t identify the pedestrian, who suffered potentially life-threatening injuries.

The driver reportedly struck the man near the intersection of MLK and Northeast Jarrett Street in the King neighborhood at about 10:33 p.m. The driver has not been located.

According to a press release, the driver was headed southbound on MLK.

Police closed MLK for several hours Friday evening to investigate the incident.
