ANN ARBOR, MI – Two of three men accused of robbing an Ann Arbor marijuana dispensary at gunpoint two years ago have now taken plea offers.

David Javon Adams pleaded no contest July 12 to one felony county of unarmed robbery for his role in a brazen mid-day robbery at Bloom City Club just outside downtown Ann Arbor in late 2019, court records show.

Adams, 34, is one of three men accused of entering the medical marijuana dispensary at 423 Miller Street, at about 12:30 p.m. on Oct. 13, 2019, and robbing the shop at gunpoint, according to the Ann Arbor Police Department.

Codefendant in the robbery, Alfonzia William Sproles, 33, pleaded no contest June 28 to one felony count of armed robbery and is awaiting sentencing.

The third man charged in the robbery, Devaughn Christopher Morgan, 29, is still awaiting trial.

After being handed an undisclosed amount of cash in the robbery, the three men exited the building and fled on foot, police said.

A store employee began to follow the men for a short distance until one of them fired three shots while running, and the suspects separated, police said. No injuries were reported.
