Ndarawetta Chief nurse Anne Kirui, nominated senator Alice Milgo and Community Chairman Joseph Sang receive a cheque of KSH 800,000 from SportPesa CEO Ronald Karauri to equip the maternity wing of the dispensary.

Betting firm SportPesa has donated over Ksh 800,000 to set up a maternity wing at a local dispensary in Ndarawetta Location in Bomet County.

The company delivered beds to start off the maternity wing project at the Ndarawetta Dispensary, as part of its Maternal Health support initiative launched this month.

SportPesa donated six hospital beds with drip stands and will support the construction of a kitchen to serve the maternity wing, which was recently constructed by the management, with support from the community.

“It is important to empower our communities, we will play our part in as we remain committed to supporting maternal health to ensure that women do not have to travel long distances to get professional maternal health care,” SportPesa CEO Capt. Ronald Karauri said.
