A new study by Portland Monthly compares Seattle and Portland.

Some metrics in the study are pretty standard, such as average home price and median household income.

But the study also looked at some less conventional metrics.

For example, Portland has more Whole Foods grocery stores than Seattle.

But in Seattle lattes are cheaper.

Full-time child care in Seattle costs about $1,000 less than Portland, but a ride from the airport to Seattle costs about 50 cents more.

And pints of microbrews are $1.50 less in Portland compared to Seattle.
