More than 40 percent of Oregon’s agricultural goods are exported, including grain, hay, pears and timber. Much of it is sent to Asia, where there is either not a good climate, enough room or enough infrastructure to grown their own. The processed and frozen food industry is the most dependent on Asian trade, which will now be severed by losing Hanjin.
