Who should join Portland mayor's race? Rank your choices – OregonLive.com
Now that Portland Mayor Charlie Hales has dropped his bid for a second term, only state Treasurer Ted Wheeler remains as a viable candidate in the 2016 race for Portland mayor.
But even Wheeler says Portland voters deserve a competitive race for the job. Who do you think should enter the race? The first vote is in May. If no candidate gets 50 percent of the vote, the top two finishers will advance to a runoff in November 2016.
We’ve compiled a list of candidates. Some have already said they’re not running, and others haven’t said one way or the other. Admittedly, some are long shots.
Still, we’d like to hear from you. You can rank your top five choices from our list by dragging your favorites to the slots on the right. If you don’t see your top choices in our list, please name them in the comments. We’ll report back with results on Thursday.
